Interestingly enough, my brother, who is not a hockey fan in any sense of the word asked me the other day: “Does your hockey team still let that goalie that sucks play?”

Tonight, we do.

Oh, Vesa, it has come to this - just a solid game of goaltending is all we’re asking. Please?

he may be bad, but he stood on his head for most of monday’s win. Give him a bit of credit when it’s due, he won’t be a leaf much longer I don’t think.

jesus christ i’m getting old.

I’ve lived through 2 decades, one of which was an end of a millenium

I started this decade with a hug from both my parents (I was 14, i didn’t have a party schedule back then, just muchmusic, videogames and hockey…wow, not much has changed.) and I’ll be ending it inebriated surrounded by most of my friends.

hm, I’ve done alot of growing up this past decade and I wouldn’t think it be too much of a stretch to say the 00’s defined me as a person (as opposed to the 90’s which I lived through, but I was the ages 4-14 so…don’t remember alot of it.)

I guess the next decade I should start thinking about becoming an adult eventually

this is now one of the paragraphs in my essay:

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there was a civil war erupting in space. The evil empire tracked down and boarded a rebel spacecraft which had been hiding blueprints to the empire’s super secret weapon, the death star. Sensing the fate of the galaxy was in danger, a princess entrusted these blueprints to two service droids and instructed them to find an Obi Wan Kenobi on the planet they were floating over. The two droids escaped in a pod and fell into the duty of one Luke Skywalker. Luke met up with Obi Wan and he convinced Luke to come with him to alderaan and learn the ways of the ancient Jedi. At a seedy cantina in Mos Eisley they met Han Solo and Chewbacca. Han agreed to fly them to Alderaan but when they got to Alderaan it was obliterated by the death star. They were pulled into the death star and had to escape. During the escape attempt they rescued the princess, who was being held captive by Darth Vader, an evil Jedi. After leaving the death star, the heroes used plans to mount an attack against the death star. In the nick of time and with few allies left, Luke Skywalker fired two torpedoes into a small exhaust port and destroyed the death star.

my roommate and I are having a legit conversation as to whether or not I should summarize the plot of star wars in a paragraph and insert it into this take home exam to fill up the word count. We know the prof doesn’t actually read our papers, there’s never a single edit or correction mark on them besides the actual mark we get. Also, it’s the last paper of the semester.

Plus, everyone’s got to have some sort of story to tell the kids about college that doesn’t involve passing out or keg parties.

I’m discussing the pro’s and cons of corporate branding within luxury hotel chains and I have my star wars paragraph summarized and ready to go. what i’m asking is, should I pull the trigger and insert it into my essay just for laughs?

I have never seen such an in depth study into the seediest of sub-sub cultures before
you couldn’t come up with better characters then this if you hired a million writers writing on a million typewriters.
The rampant Narcissism, Vanity and ego stroking is just ridiculous. you can really tell that deep down, these people have some serious issues. Like, worse then the people on intervention, hoarders, celebrity rehab and flavour of love combined.
It was the second episode and already one of them got pinkeye.

I despise these people yet at the same time, I caught myself when i thought “oh this guy seems to be the only rational one in the house”

He was the one who got pinkeye.

no, I’m not going to heckle them, but a few things:

1. Frank Mahovolich needs to take that jersey off now. He knows where his loyalties lie. How much did you pay him Montreal?hmm?

2. My dad looked up to Bob Gainey growing up, both being from Peterborough and very close in age. and even today he feels bad for him being hung out to dry as the Habs GM.

3. Patrick Roy belongs in a Colorado Jersey. I don’t care where he played before. They gave him away

4. Scotty Bowman and Gordie Howe = Detroit awesomeness

ugh. my hockey equipment is either too small, illegal or missing

things I need to buy:

-Skates (they’re gone? explain that one.)

-Stick (broke it tonight while having shooting practice)

-Gloves (also, dissappeared, probably too small)

-Pants (also missing, maybe too small)

-Compression shorts/jock/sock holding system (don’t know where that one went)

Things that are probably illegal:

-Hard plastic knobby elbow pads

-Shoulder padding that doesn’t cover my stomach

-Half cage, half plastic visor thing

i should check on these things more often but seriously, how the hell am I missing so much shit? I’m rattled! and the breaking of the stick thing didn’t exactly help matters either…
